We are in the midst of season in Palm Beach! The roads are full, the shop is busy, and there is not a dinner reservation to be had. The town is abuzz and there is excitement fluttering down Worth Ave and South County. While at times it is overwhelming, we are savoring the bustle before the sleepy heat of summer drifts in.
Personally, I am in the midst of spring cleaning. Simplifying and tying ends on long term projects. Last week I finalized our spring launches. The canvases are fabulous and I am excited to share them with you.

WATCHING
While I have been tuning in weekly to The White Lotus, I have also been craving comfort movies. Movies I grew up with that are not only beautiful, but also charming. Stardust is one movie I return to time and again. If you enjoy adventure and fantasy movies I would highly recommend this film.
I am in a YouTube phase. I adore the home tour videos, especially from Schumacher, Homeworthy, Times & Style, and House and Garden. They remind me of early Ina Garten, comforting & inspiring.
READING
I am still deep in the ACOTAR series, but when I am not lost in the fantasy world of Velaris I am on Substack. Rather than scrolling Tik Tok or Instagram I now peruse the Substack homepage. It is more uplifting and wholesome than other social media outlets. I am aiming to write a favorite Substack post soon. Stay tuned!
LISTENING
I adore Jazz. I grew up playing the trombone, and a deep appreciation for music has always stuck with me. It is rare that our home is completely quiet. There is always music floating throughout the rooms. This instrumental jazz playlist is perfect for mornings. I enjoy it with breakfast and while answering e-mails. It is relaxing, but not somnolent. The perfect background for a productive beginning to the day.
OBSESSING
We do laundry quite frequently. Our dogs are allowed on all furniture and beds, so we are washing our sheets and comforter every few days. I have found two laundry products I am currently obsessed with- this detergent and these dryer balls. I am also eyeing these wool dryer balls as I am a sucker for anything cute & whimsical.
I initially discovered Sanzo sparkling water last summer in Newport. I completely forgot about the brand, until I stumbled upon it at our local Whole Foods. I adore the Calamansi flavor. This has become my go to drink.
I have severely cut back on my caffeine consumption. Thus I have very slowly been working my way through the teas I brought back from my September London trip. Luckily, I had the sense to purchase one non-caffeinated option. The Dreamtime tea from Daylesford has become a lovely addition to my bedtime routine. After trying a plethora of tea infusers that did not work, I have discovered my favorite. The OXO tea infuser basket is perfect for a singular cup of tea. I adore it.
STITCHING
This Friday (03/28) at 9 am EST we are launching our collaboration with Cedar Street Stationery (sneak peek above). I have long adored Callie. She has designed invitations for Lycette events and limited edition notepads for both Lycette Palm Beach and Lycette Newport. Needless to say, I am thrilled to bring her whimsical and cheerful designs to needlepoint.
DOING
Miss B will be popping up at The Vincent Club in Beacon Hill, Boston next Thursday (04/03) and Friday (04/04). I hope you can visit her! She will be bringing a plethora of Lycette exclusive canvases as well as needlepoint accessories. If there is anything special you would like her to bring to Boston please email betty@lycettedesigns.com.
I have Elizabeth Taylor syndrome, that is a deep love for jewelry. I do not desire high end luxury handbags, I am quite hard on my shoes, and I am not at all a car person. Thus jewelry, interior design, books, flowers, and needlepoint are my vices. I am thrilled that we are hosting Elizabeth Gage jewelry at Lycette Palm Beach the second week of April. Elizabeth Gage’s jewelry is beautiful & timeless, a true representation of English design. Plus, she has a coveted MBE from the Royal Family.
xo,
Mrs. N
I have worn Elizabeth Gage for many years. I never tire of her work. I purchased mine at the downtown NM which is getting ready to close.
Breaks my heart.
I wish I could attend your event. I could see Melissa’s new work and jewelry.
